Parts

Songwriting + production canvas

Find a frame.
Write a song.

Parts is a canvas for songwriting. Pick a pack — a genre, an artist, your own album — and the wheel seeds with sensible defaults. Coach prompts ask better questions, never compose for you. Export a high-fidelity sketch to any DAW when you’re ready to finish.

No card. A finished track on the free tier is the point.

How it works

Eight dimensions of a song, on one wheel.

The pack acts as gravity — it tunes every spoke at once. Any spoke can be your entry point. Form (verse-chorus-bridge, AABA) emerges from Arrangement, not declared up front.

  • 1.
Theme What it’s about, who’s speaking, where it’s set.
  • 2.
    Harmony Chords, key, palette.
  • 3.
    Melody Top line, motifs, hooks.
  • 4.
    Rhythm Groove, tempo, feel.
  • 5.
Lyrics Freewrite to chorus to verses.
  • 6.
Instrumentation Which voices play in which section.
  • 7.
Arrangement Energy curve, where the peak lands.
  • 8.
Production Sound design, space, mix character.

Who it’s for

Useful at every level.

New to songwriting

Pick a pack you like. Parts asks a short series of questions and seeds the wheel. By the end of an hour you have a finished sketch.

Songwriter, hobbyist

Start from blank or a pack. Coach prompts ask the better question rather than write the line. Take the sketch to your DAW when you’re ready.

Working producer

Pro tier gives Ableton .als + Bitwig/Reaper .dawproject export, lane stems, and a real plugin host. Sketch in Parts, finish in your DAW.

What you ship

A ready-to-finish project, in any DAW.

Parts holds the frame. You finish the song — in Parts if it’s done there, or in Ableton, Bitwig, Reaper, Studio One, Logic if it needs more. Export options scale with your tier.

  • Free — multi-track MIDI bundle: Chords / Bass / Kick / Hi-hat / Shaker. Drag into any DAW.
